Automated fulfilment: AutoStore, packing and sorting into 6 lanes

Picking at AutoStore

One operator picks 6 orders at once from AutoStore bins into totes – 3 on the left and 3 on the right. The totes then travel by conveyor to B2B or B2C packing.

Packing stations and machines

At the B2C stations 8 operators pack goods into customer boxes while another supplies empty boxes via belt conveyors. Stations have ergonomic lifts and custom tables. We integrated an external packing machine for boxes of various sizes with automatic labelling, and a folding line that folds returned goods, re-wraps them in film and sends them back to AutoStore.

Sorting and safety

A diverter sorts finished shipments by label and carrier into 6 output lanes. Opening gates automatically stop the conveyors with audible and visual signals, and walkways above the conveyors allow crossing without interrupting flow. The whole solution connects the customer’s WMS, AutoStore and the external machines.
